Maori

This week for our Maori lesson, we learnt about the places that are located within New Zealand. We were all given a piece of paper with an outline of New Zealand, a list of place names (In Maori), and a bunch of boxes. All together, we had to find out where 22 places are, and to do that we would locate that name on Google Maps. I found this as quite an easy challenge, but it was still really fun.

RESILIENCE

Today I was reading about resilience and I have learnt that some people try to live there dreams but then they don't try and then they just give up but some people live their dreams all the way and succeeds.

Kiwi sports badminton

Kiwi sports badminton

We finally had kiwi sports again and it was awesome. We did badminton and we had to walk to the hall my heart was pounding through my chest I couldn't breath that's how scared I was actually I had mixed emotions I was excited, happy, scared and confused.

We were finally at the doors going to meet our new instructor he was cool and the ticks he did were even cooler. Then it was our turn to try and do the front hand and the best way to know your doing it is like your shaking someone's hand. The backhand was the best it should of been like your holding a frying pan. Then we had to do front hand and back hand it’s like the two that I just explained but together.

He got us to sit back down and he finally was going to teach us how to do the tricks and man the first one we did was hard we had to time our hits perfectly or else we would've missed I had to miss lots and lots of times to get my timing better you had to get it right because you had to swing your hand around your back and hit it up. The second one was a little easier because all you had to do was get your racket under your legs and hit the shuttlecock and keep on doing it until it hits the ground.

Finally we had a challenge to see who could keep the shuttlecock from touching the ground. We started and the stress was getting to me already. Everyone around was trying there best I did not know who would win me or someone else in my class the stress was killing me but then everyone around had dropped there shuttles and I had won. The second round was the person who would vs me in the last round and the person who won was my friend Jonathan.

The last round was so intense I just could not wait until it was over. My heart beating so hard I could feel it and it felt like a war trying to break out of my chest. We were head to head I blocked out all the chanting going on around me and Jonathan did something wrong and I won and man was that scary for me.

Today we were doing some writing about our kiwisport lesson and we also had to mark our writing and I got a score out of 30 and I got over the score I was actually meant to be.

Today we were learning how to add and subtract fractions first we had to do fractions that are the same and just fractions. Then after that we had to do the addition but with fractions and if it went over the denominator you would have to  go something like 1 whole and 2 over 35 and when you take away you have to times the other denominator by the other one and that is your denominator until you are done with that question.

Fractions: add/sub same denominator

So all you have to do to add fractions you have to add the numerator and then you get your answer for the fractions and that is all I have to tell you how to add fractions with the same denominator.

LI: To organics family, jobs, people and more.

To day we are learning how to organize people, jobs, family and more things I used four nested circles and it was fun. in the inner circle we had to do the people how we see so often. In the second circle we had to do the people we see weekly or every third day and the rest was just the people how you know are there but you don't talk to.
