Analogue Time

I am going to try and teach you how to tell analogue time. The way I  learnt how to tell analog
time was by watching others it is so easy to learn by watching people tell the time but there some
people that can’t learn that way. They learn to tell time by people explaining it to them and that is
what I’m going to try and do.

The first thing you need to know  is how the two or three hands work. The longest hand is the long
the minute hand. Then there's the little hand it shows the hour so if it is on three and the long hand
is at the twelve then it is three o'clock and there are some clocks with the second hand it is a long
hand also but this one goes faster than the minute it counts in seconds.

There are the numerals or numbers. Each big number is 5 minutes so if the minute  hand is on the
12 then the time is ethier three o’clock like that and if the minute hand is on the 1 then it’s 3:05 then
you just go like that.

So put all of these skills together and  you have the basics of telling analogue time.  Then there's t
he one minute lines. If you look closer to a clock you can see the minute lines and those are one
minutes it is basic really so if the minute hand is on one of the little lines it is like 13 minutes past 12.
That’s how easy it is to tell analogue time.

This is what I have been doing for the past two weeks for wrighting it is the most best thing I have done in a very long time and it was about analogue time. We wrote about it I think because some people rely too much on the digital time.

Venn Diagram

This is an activity my partner and I have been doing for a while it is a very fun activity. We learnt about the waterview tunnel and made a venn diagram about that one then we moved on to the Gotthard road tunnel then we did the same thing we did for the waterview tunnel. Then as you do in a Venn Diagram we then wrote what was the same about the two. As you can see we find a lot of differences but not a lot of similarities between the two of them.

Read Theory

This what we have been doing for a while now and it sometimes can be fun but sometimes it can be boring my grades have been dropping so I think I have to be more on task and consistent towards read theory and try and have fun while reading the books. Still I think I should be a lot more on task. I also have to try and get much higher than I have like grade 6 to 8 and the way I can do that is I have to read the text and the question to find out the answer.

Wheel words

Today we have been playing the game called wheel words is a challenging game it helps you with your vocabulary. You can learn a lot of words and use them wherever you want. You have to find 4 letter words 5 letter words sometimes 6, 7 or 8 letter words and the most hardest thing to find sometimes is the 9 lettered word. In the one I had done not so long ago I used 2 hints. After that I found 20 words.

Maths Week: Scale Drawing

Last week we all were doing maths week and it was fun. I liked it because we were doing scale drawing and it was the first time I did something like this I think that was why I liked it. There were three words to go with scale drawing they were ratio, scale factor and enlargement. The person or thing I'm doing his name is Stewie Griffin and he is off the cartoon named Family Guy that is a hilarious cartoon. The thing I found the most fun was colouring because that is my favorite thing to do. I couldn't find the right colours to use so I just grabbed any colour I saw. The hardest thing was drawing Stewie's head it looks easy but it is the hardest thing I have ever attempted and because I'm a year 7 I might get to do this again so next time I might do someone else from Family Guy or someone from an anime like Charizard that would be an interesting thing to do I can't wait for next year to do this it's going to be fun.

kiwi can

Today in kiwi can we were talking about goal settings and our theme resilience that means you bounce back from challenges. The reason for goal settings is to see how the little goals help with the bigger goals like going to university or becoming a famous rugby player. After we spoke about that we went onto a game called snatch and that was our energizer and all you had to do was stand in a circle after your in the circle you would have to turn around and Mr Matt would call go but if he said something else and you went your out and you would also be out if you dive for the cones. After playing that game we all went to play golden child and during golden child you would have two teams and one team would be running and the other team would be shooting and if they get the ball in the person that is running would have to stop.

Wheel words

Today we have been playing a game called wheel words. This game helps you learn more words to use in your vocabulary and they help you learn new words like Trilling and Laden there are many words that I didn't know until I started playing this game and I hope my vocabulary grows and expands each time I play this game. They give you a score and if you complete it you get scored. At the end of the end of the game It tells you how many hints you use and I used 10 hits to help me.

Cook Island Language week

As part of celebrating Cook Island language week LS2 have been practicing basic phrases in Cook Island. To get better at pronouncing the phrases we used a site called Digital Dialects. On this site we were also able to learn the name of fruits and vegetables in Cook Island. After that we were to create a conversation with a partner in the Cook Island language. I did this with Fraidon. I found this task fun and interesting because I was able to learn a new language and have fun while doing it. To hear our recording click on this LINK.

Blog commenting

Today we have been doing our quad blogging and I had commented on two peoples blog and their names were Zac and Arly. Arly had just blogged about refugees and man did she give a hell of a description on what they are and what they do for a living they basically live on the seas as soon as they get off they go back on another boat and most of them die due to lack of oxygen, lack of food and water so they either die because they can't breathe or starvation and dehydration. So the military can set up a new camp for them.
