Technology In School
Link to the video's
For this activity we had to wright a argument for against having technology at school and for having technology I was against having technology at school but I am talking hypothetically specking. This is my argument.
I am against technology because kids can play games. Kids would all ways decide to choose to have technology over everything else. If people choose technology over people their communication would be so bad and the people who choose technology would be lonely because they would not have communicated with all the people around them. They will be poor they will be addicted to the computers and the phone and all the other technological systems all around them. In the olden days the people who did not use a technological system got along fine they could communicate better than the kids these days because their faces were not stuck in a screen.

I’m aggravated,
I feel like smashing someone
They are like snowflakes.
Alex:
If they anger you,
Hesitate to assault them.
Cool off in the snow.
Alex:
Refrain from hurting,
They shall remember the pain
Hide the hate in snow.
Julian:
I shall chill out now,
I am extremely calm
They shan’t feel any pain.

Ducks overboard
Summarising the Main Idea
Good readers notice key words. Here are some clues to help you find key words:
- Key words are directly connected to the topic
- Key words are often repeated in the title and the text
- A key word helps you to remember an important idea
Use this table to help you summaries the main ideas in a text in your own words. It is important that you use your own words to show your understanding and to avoid plagiarism. If you don’t know what some words mean, look them up.
Keywords from the title
Duck Overboard
|
Keywords from subheadings
|
New words I need to look up
durable
|
Read the text and record key words/phrases that answer these questions:
What? Bath toys
|
Where? Indonesia, Australia, Japan, South America and North America ,Great Britain, sea.
|
When?
In January 1992
|
Who?Curtis Ebbesmeyer , Scientist
|
Why? stupendous storm
|
How? They were dragged by the currents
|
Now using the words you wrote down summarise the text in 25 words or less. January 1992 bath toys were dragged by currents to Indonesia, Australia, Japan, South America and North America ,Great Britain. Curtis Ebbesmeyer , Scientist studied the ducks.
L.I. To look for keywords and phrases.
