Inchcape Rock

This week we have been learning about a poem called Inchcape Rock it is a fascinating poem I really like how it written. I also like when it is set it is set around the 1800 to 1900 hundreds. It is a fantastic piece of work I think you would like to listen to it to. It is about two men they are called Sir Ralph the Rover and Aberbrothok and one bell the they inchcape bell and sir ralph the rover is an evil man that destroys the and cuts the bell from the bouy

Tech Reflection

This is an example of an animated story that a recreated in scratch. The components used to recreate this story include:
Spites (As characters), backdrops (To be used as backgrounds) and dialogue (For conversations between characters).
The codes that I used to recreate the story include:
Events script to start the story, looks script to enable talking between sprites, control script for pauses between events and the looks script for backgrounds.

Making Connections

today for reading we were reading a book called ready steady snack he gets sucked into the T.V and he has to learn a valuable lesson that his mother is always trying to tell like practice be grateful and at the end of the day he dose what his mother tells him to.

DigiTech Project - Instal Planning

In Digitech today, we started the initial planning for our digitech project this included completing the following tasks:

 Context Brainstorm
Design Brief
 Plan of Action

The purpose of the context brainstorm is... We did it to generate ideas and also help us with our knowledge that is around the tamaki cluster.

The purpose of the conceptual statement is... was to help us choose the people we were targeting to watch our animation and what the age limit was going to be.

The purpose of the the planning timeframes is... was to help us with the planning action and how long it would take use to finish the work.

Today for tech we have been looking at a brainstorms, timeframes and conceptual statement. We have been looking at them for advice and knowledge about the cluster one of them includes us seeing what age the person that is watching the animation we are going to make.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can we have been learning about the word accountability it is  when you take responsibility for your own actions. We also are learning about integrity it is when you do the right thing when no one is look. We are learning all of these subjects with kiwi can. They help us learn the things and it is the coolest place to be. We have also been playing games that include the subjects and it is really fun. The first game we played was copy me it is when the leader would choose a card and the cards had a different action and we got a lot of eights the eights is when you have to pretend to sleep for 10 seconds. The next game we played was green light when your playing green light is when you switch spots with your partner, yellow light is when you sit on each others laps and stay there till the next interaction. then the last game we played was G.K.Q {General Knowledge Questions} we played the master version we went around the world and the last man standing was the winner. Our mentors are Mr Matt and Miss Lily.


Geese

Today I have been learning about the Geese  and what they do. Did you know that they fly in V shapes and the male usually fend off whatever they can see while the female is sitting on the egg. These are some fascinating creature I think they are the most coolest one before a horse and a bunny they are really really awesome and outstanding.

The Raurimu Spiral


Today I have been looking at the Raurimu Spiral and I have learnt a lot about the it like it is 139 meters long and plenty more this is a fascinating thing to learn about. It is much more interesting to know about the location it is found in the small countrie New Zealand I did not think that it would be in New Zealand.

Money Problems

This week for math we were given a sheet of word problems to fill out, after that we were to choose one and create a DLO explaining how we did it. For that task we were to work individually but for the next one we were able to work in pairs. To do the second task we first needed to find the amount of Liz, then Jane and so on. We needed to work it out backwards.

Fraction Of An Amount

For maths today we solved fraction equations. First we solved the first three with our teacher (Ms Kirkpatrick) then we could choose if we would stay on the mat or go work by yourself. Mataio and I chose to stay on the mat because we still didn't quite get what we had to do. We did 5 more then we had to do the last 2 by ourselves. I think this task was bit hard at first but it got easy at the end.

Making Connection

Today we have been reading a story about a boy called Josh thought he could beat anyone no matter how good they were but then one day the T.V just suked him in and made him proform one of his songs in the T.V. then he had done a terrible job on his first try but then a nice man let him have his pick then I played it spectacularly and then he woke from the dream and started practisting.

Tech

Today at tech we have deen learning how to code and we have been making our own anime and we had to create a story called Casey and Jeff goes to the park we used two different backdrops and the backdrops were the path walk and the beach with a view. We first had to find our characters {sprites} they were Casey and Jeff. They had different names but we could change them. After that we found our backdrops. Then we got to the fun part we had to code it we had made them look like they were talking to each other. We also had to make them go into different backdrops. When we were done we had add two more backdrops then we are finished.

Kiwi Sport


Today during Kiwi Sport our coach was first let us play a warm up game of rippa-bull rush, after that we were sorted into three teams. Two teams stayed on and one went to the benches. My team and another team were in the first match, at first it was just us scoring a try and then them doing the same thing, but after a bit the scored two tries before the game ended whilst we only scored 1. My team was swapped out for the other team who won and then we were swapped back in, we won with around 6 and the opposition had around about 5. After that we practised more passing from side to side.
