These are some things that I now know about Brazil

I have been researching about Brazil.

What I know about the Olympics

*The rings are the continents.                                                                                                                           

    *The ring are linked together to show unity.                                                                                                                                                                   

*Antarctica is not part of the Olympic rings.

*North and South America form one ring.

*The colours represent the colours of the different countries’ flags.

                                                                                                                                                                              * The Olympic Games take place every 4 years                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Coin combinations

Today I was learning how to make different coin combinations to make one dollar.

Maori language week/ Measurement

L.I: I am learning to draw a rhombus to put 5 Maori words that I want to learn for Maori language week. My 5 Maori words are:

Mahuru {September}

Whiriga {November}

Hongongoi {July}

Haratua {May}

Tahi {one}

Orienteering

L.I : I was learning to read a map to help me find the controls. This term I learnt orienteering. On the map there was a code of numbers and letters. Beside each letter was a clue to help me find the control.

Self reflection. I  mostly used the map when I was lost or when I couldn’t  find the controls.  I needed to use the map more often. Next time I do orienteering I will remember to point the map North and find the controls by READING THE MAP.
