What Can I Bring to The Table At Selwyn

What Can I Bring to The Table At Selwyn

Selwyn College is a really well established school. I don’t think I can bring all that much to Selwyn because they mainly revolve around intelligence and sometimes sport. The main thing I’m alright at is Maths, because it is my favourite subject at school. On the sports side of things I could be a very worthy adversary or team mate.

When I play sports I get very competitive and very aggressive because I always want to win. I am usually very loud when I play games, especially when people aren't playing as well as they can. I don’t have the brains like my brother but I am really handy with carrying and moving stuff (Body Builder)...

I’m not going to lie when it comes to being smart but I'm just above average, not average at everything, because to be honest, I am quite smart at Maths. I have alright scores and try my best when I do something. I always take something away from my learning with my friends.

The main thing I like to do is chill with my friends and play sports but I do manage to get my work finished when I get asked to. I always try my hardest to get my work done before the deadline but during that time I get kind of scared because I think I won’t get it done in time or I mucked up.

When there is something important happening or I try and get my work rushed I get kind of nervous and stressed out I’m usually able to keep my nervousness and stress under wraps because I am antisocial around family members I don’t know.

I’m not special, I'm not good at everything but no matter how hard or how sticky a situation is, I will always persevere and be resilient. This is why I will be an asset to my new school, Selwyn College.

Early Maori Enterprise

Normal

Enterprise is not new to NZ, it has been around for a very long time. Early Maori often traded between hapu and iwi. When settler ships arrived they too traded with the local iwi. Often these trades were unfair with one side getting a much better bargain. This helps to explain why by the 1900s, Maori had signed over the ownership of their land.

10 Syllables (Re-make)

Enterprise is not new to New Zealand. Early Maori traded between each other. The british sailed to new zealand to trade. Maoris got ripped off by the settlers. The Maoris lost their land to the british.

what we did is we wrote a short 5 sentences about enterprise and when it started and who it comes into our everyday life. Then after we did that we made our sentences only 10 Syllables.

Water Filters

This week and last week for inquiry LS2 was learning about water filters and how to make them, we needed to find out what water filters need to work and how we could put the filters together.  All of the groups used plastic bottles, sand, rocks and charcoal to try and dilute dirty water. Although none of the groups completely filtered the water, some of them managed to get lighter coloured water.

Rugby Pitch Sizes Maths Challenge

This week for maths another challenge was to answer questions on rugby pitch sizes. Some of the other questions were: What is the perimeter of a maximum size of rugby pitch? And, what is the area of a maximum size rugby pitch? After finishing all of the other questions, my group needed to create a DLO on how we found our answer.

RWC Maths

This week LS2 has been learning about the rugby world cup. We needed to answer maths questions like; What is the difference in seating capacity between the largest and smallest stadiums and, what the the total combined capacity of all the Japanese rugby world cup stadiums is. The question that my group made the DLO on is if all the stadia are sold out each time then what will be the total number of spectators for all the pool matches combined.

5-7-10 | My Favourite Cultural Celebration (Christmas)

(Christmas)

Let me tell you about my Favourite Cultural Celebration CHRISTMAS

Christmas, isn’t it a jolly time spending time with your uncles, aunts, Mum, Dad and siblings. I love christmas, so when the year starts I can’t wait for it. Just the joy and smiles of everyone around you and the wonderful, amazing, awesome gifts that your folks give you. Although I know christmas will come, the excitement inside me just keeps building up.

I am thankful to live in Panmure, New Zealand because you have a majority of things you can choose like toys and candy. Like every year it is on December 25 but this year it is December 25, 2019.

When I was 7 I found out that Santa wasn’t real and it hasn’t felt the same since then. When I did believe he was real I thought he was my friend, Santa, who liked cookies and milk. I know that people say that Santa isn’t real, yet there is a little bit of hope that Santa is still real but is locked up at area 51. *Help him by going on the Area 51 raid September 20, 2019 see you there Nevada, United States of America*

I could remember his famous catch phrase “Ho Ho Ho,” he would go around saying.
_______________________________________________________

We have been looking at using commas in the right context. This was a really fun activity for me. I like the way that we used the commas. They way we did it is we did a 5-7-10. 5 minutes to write, 7 minutes to talk about the writing and the 10 minutes were for the rest of the writing. It was also quite challenging because I don't use commas a lot.

Current Events Map

This week for reading Aung Naing, Joseph, Jack, Alex and I worked together to fill out a google map with international events. We needed to search through different news websites to find stories that fit the current event criteria. Our story for oddity is twin pandas being born in Belgium and for impact, bush fires.

Maths: Krispy Kreme Maths Challenge

This week for maths, the Heptagons, and Octagons were given a maths challenge. This challenge included 1 ginormous Krispy Kreme's donut box. Our challenge was to make an estimation of how many donuts were in the box. What we were given was a link to an email screenshot which showed a few of the hints we needed to be able to figure it out. This included the diameter of each donut, the length and height of the box, and a good luck to schools trying to figure the answer out. For this activity I worked with Jack, and we had just as much fun creating the DLO as we did with finding the answer. You can see in our DLO our first estimations just by looking at the box, and the working out for the real answer.

Provocation And Opinion

A provocation is an action or speech that triggers strong feelings about a topic. Recently a major supermarket chain announced that it will no longer sell energy drink to people under the age of 16. My group's opinion is recorded in my DLO that also shows both perspectives. What is your opinion and why?

Exploring Our National Current Events

News editors make decisions everyday about which current event stories they will run. We explored the different types of current events that are happening in NZ, thought about why the story made the news and plotted the location on a google map. We were trying to find different types of current events.

Explanation: Should New Zealand Ban Plastic Straws?

Why?... Just why do you want to ban plastic straw just because of a few videos of straws harming animals it is not our fault that sea creatures think that straws are food. Why should people that throw their things in the bin have to suffer and get their relaxing straws get ban. I would destroy the world if we were out at the beach and just because we didn’t have a straw someone liped my drink I would flip out.

My reason for saying no is because it is just a waste of time, money and resources. There are other plastic things that are worse than plastic straws and the fuss over plastic straws people are just being dramatic. Everything in everyday life is bad and can pillout the world, you don’t see people trying to ban them just because they help out with their daily life. The people that are trying to help with the plastic straw ban are just wasting time and money. The only reason that people are making this fuss is because of the videos of straws in turtle’s noses.

My second reason for saying no people banning straws is because of all the money that would have to be invested for this act when all the money in it.

No we shouldn't ban plastic straws because of sea creatures eating them or getting them stuck in their nose we should ban littering that is a bigger threat to the environment and everything inside it it's not the straws fault it is ours.

Should New zealand Ban plastic straws

Today we were debating on whether we ban plastic straws or we keep plastic straws. My partner was
Te Pounamu and while we were looking at the suffering creatures we understood that there are things that are harming the marine life. Plastic straws can get stuck in turtle's noses and in bird's mouths, not only do they biodegrade into harmful microscopic pieces of plastic get stuck in animal's stomachs, plastic releases toxins that can pollute lakes and and the ground. That's why I don't think we should have plastic straws anymore, paper and bamboo ones are far better for the environment.

Tech

Today at tech we were cooking fish cakes and they were nice for a while then the taste of the fish got boring and the only thing that made me go for more was the spice of the fish and to be honest it was kind of nice and that was surprising because I don't like seafood that much. My favorite cooking session would have to be when we cooked chop suey that was really fun and nice. It was boring sometimes because we weren't cooking it was fun for a little while then got boring because of the paperwork but I just want to thank all the teachers for teaching us and also a big thanks to Miss heka because she took time out of looking after her child to teach us how cook so thank you to all the teachers at tamaki college.

Persuasive Writing

Writing Frame for organising a Persuasive Speech

LI: To write a speech and persuade others to think the way you do.

Just imagine in 5-7 years the Earth would be uninhabitable due to all the pollution in the air.

Hello my name is Julian and I believe that eco friendly cars should be the only cars that

inhabit the roads for a better future, for the earth, mankind and also for all the children who are

still to come (in the future) . If this were to happen it would restore my faith in mankind.

According to my calculations, about 40% of the world owns gasoline run cars and that is the

reason the earth is being corrupted. Some people are suffering because of all of the

pollution in the air and all that pollution is from our creations of cars that are ruining the earth.

The internet states that India has the most pollution in the world. In 2018 Gurugram was known

worldwide as the most polluted place on the planet because of the use of a lot of steam

engines and non environmentally friendly cars that pollute the Earth.

The oil that cars use sometimes get shipped and the ship sometimes crash, the oil cause

harm to fish, birds, penguins and other marine creatures. It could also endanger the physical

health of anyone because of the chemicals that the oil contains.

We have neglected, we have rejected and we have been in denial. We neject to think we were

wrong, stick to our own knowledge because no matter what you think all humans are a bit

stubborn, a bit selfish and a bit greedy.

Yeah I know cars help us with day to day jobs and work, but just think for a while if the earth

had feelings how would it feel? If we go to the future and don’t change our ways what would

the earth look like? How do you think we could make a change?

Swimming

At swimming we were learning how to swim in a river to protect us while swimming, it's so we don't end up killing ourselves by accident. Would you rather have a broken foot or a broken head was the quotation we were asked at the end of the lesson. After we learnt how to swim in the water, we were asked to swim around the pool numeris times but with different styles of swimming. I found this quite fun as there are a large majority of swimming styles that I could use in different situations.

Tech: Returning To Tech For Term 3

Today we had our first session of tech for term 3 this year. Unfortunately Miss Heka was not here today so instead Miss Elice was here to give us worksheets to fill out. The worksheet was about Greece and the history of food there. We started by reading a few pages that gave us a bunch of information about the topic. Then we got our first few questions. After that there were a few pages which all contained a word find. That was as far as we got into the worksheets, there were still a few pages remaining, but I managed to complete 1 word find in the time we were given. Although we couldn't do cooking I still had fun

Kiwi Can

At kiwi Can this week we were working on our emotion and resilience. we were talking about the different effects that can happen to you when an emotions is being felt or shown. It was a really interesting  talking about feelings and the different effects of different feelings. We then started playing our energizer and we were doing exercises and giving each other high fives. Then we were talking about what can happen when you feel a certain feeling. After that we were doing role play and they had to try and guess what we were doing my group was at the zoo but we weren't allowed to talk.

Tech - Food

For tech today we completed our last session for Term 2. with our teacher Mrs Heka, who takes care of food tech show us how to cook traditional food queasiness. Today we cooked Chop Suey from the Samoan culture. This rotations theme is all about cultural food. Since there wasn't an equal amount of students in food class, My group : Jack and I. Each person had their own roles to complete. Jack and I worked together to make sure that the food was done properly, and that the main ingredients were prepared to be added in, while i was dicing the onion, chicken, and garlic. The equipment that we used from our trolley was: medium bowl, measuring cups/spoons, knives, Yellow and green cutting board, big pot, strainer, fork, and serving spoon. The ingredients were: mixed veges, chicken, soy sauce, boiling water, oil, vermicelli, and salt. We were told to remove the pot from the heat every 2 minutes, because of the stickiness from the chicken and vermicelli. At the end of the session, as always we cleansed down our top/bottom benches, especially the stoves/cum tray. While we were cooking our chop suey, Mrs Heka was getting the rice prepared and then we dished it which looked so deliciously delicious.

HIIT

Today we were doing HIIT and we first started up with some warm ups so what we did for our warm ups was we got a partner and then we had to touch the other person's shoulder only with our left hands but we also had punishments such as power lunges burpees planks. Then we were going through circuits that would help us build our strength and also increase our heart rates. We were doing pull ups, push ups and mountain climbers then we did bring sally up while doing squats and it was really hard then at the very end we had to get into partners and do some stretches.

Maths Word Problems

Today we were showcasing and explaining our math games that we have been working on for two weeks. The first things we did to create our games was we planned out what the design of the layout would look like and what we would do if someone got the answer correct or wrong we also created some characters that would give you a hint of you were correct or wrong and also something that says congratulations if you got it right and / or sorry try again this was a very interesting activity to end the term because we got to create our own games instead of playing something straight from the internet that someone else made. This gave us a big opportunity to show our skill and also our knowledge.

Rhythm Interactive's Visit to PBS

Today a man called Johnny from Rhythm Interactive came and taught us how to play the Djembe. The whole school took part in this fun activity. The theme of his lesson was "Together we make change". Johnny would drum a beat and then the whole school would copy it. Johnny would also tell one side of the school to play one beat and then the other to play another, it was a competition to see who could go the loudest. LS2 helped out with the Juniors because they might not be able to do the beats properly. I really liked drumming because Johnny was funny and very friendly to everyone in the school. If you'd like to check out Rhythm Interactions the link is here.

This week for tech we were doing cooking again it is really fun in cooking but sadly a lot of people were away and missed out on some very nice food. Today what we cooked was cottage pie and it was delectable. The ingredients we used were cooked potatoes, cream, butter, mince, cheese, tomato puree, Mixed Vegetables, salt and pepper and BBQ sauce. The utensils we used were measuring spoons, bowels, knifes, measuring cups, trays, frying pan, fork, spoons and chopping boards. when we got there the teacher Miss Heka was cooking up some potatoes and we were getting told what we needed and when we needed to use the ingredient. I partnered up with Te pounamu he cut up the onions and I mashed the potatoes and we worked really well together and had a lot of fun making and eating the food.

Waltzing Matilda

We were unpacking the literary devices and language in Banjo Paterson's very famous poem Waltzing Matilda and we also were finding out different words like jumbuck witch is sheep and other things like Waltzing, Matilda, Tucker bag, swagman and billabong those were all the words that were used in the poem Waltzing Matilda. The poem was quite a cool poem because it also tells a story about the struggle of living when you have no money in the 1880's.

Maths: Strengthening Connections To Maths Language

Today, we were given a challenge that would strengthen our maths vocabulary. In the challenge, we were given a presentation with 6 boxes. These boxes were the addition subtraction multiplication division equality inequality variables and find an answer boxes. In each box we needed to drag a whole bunch of smaller boxes with a maths vocabulary word on it into the corresponding box based on what the word meant. We would like to say thank you to Whaea Donna from Manaiakalani sharing this activity with us.

Gymnastic

Yesterday we were doing our kiwi Sports gymnastics we were learning how to do dive rolls and land them we were also learning how to do something on pole we were pushing away from the pole and then going back then we push off the pole once more and then let go and jump off. Then we would rotate then we would go on to a different then we would go onto a beam by jumping on it and doing a type of position.

Tech

Today at tech we had a reliever because Miss heka was not feeling well and so then we were filling out  some work that was set for us by our tech teacher and it was to show us the types of hazards that could be found in the kitchen especially the hazards that could harm children when they are in the kitchen then we were doing a word search for the different type of vegetables and it was really fun.

Literary Devices

Last week we were challenged to only use google docs to make our own literary devices we were challenged to this because we are doing poetry for reading and because of this we are learning about the different literary devices which are Hyperbole, Simile, Onomatopoeia, Metaphor, Personification and Alliteration those are the things that you can find in a poem. The challenge was quite hard but then we were allowed to use the google drawing which was a tool that you could use to draw your own pichers without using things off the internet.

Gymnastics

Yesterday we had gymnastics and it was fun. The teacher we had was Steven he is a really good gymnast he was showing us how to do dive rolls, walking on the beam and jumping on it, keeping your core strong and doing handstands. I think the best part of gymnastics has to be the trampoline and doing the dive roll that was so fun yet so hard to pull off because you have to put your arms out straight. I just want to say thank you to Steven for teaching us gymnastics.

Inquiry: Bus Stop Activity

This week for inquiry, we have started a new rotation. To start off we have had a bus stop activity to complete. The point of this activity was to activate our prior knowledge, and to build it. Prior knowledge is what you already know, and to build it is to expand your knowledge. Because our topic is space, our questions were What do we know about science, What do we know about space, How does space affect us on earth, What do you know about the planets in our solar system, What do you know about the moon, What do you know about the sun, and finally What words do you know that are associated with space. For this task, Learning Space 2 collaborated with Learning Space 1, and we have all enjoyed it.

Science Investigation

Today we were doing science with a teacher called Mrs Wells and she is planting dwarf beans with us but we have a little twist we are adding different items to the soil to use as fertilizer and we have just planted our seeds and we all are using different items such as Coffee grounds, Tea bag, Foam Soap, Crushed chocolate, Salt, Potatoes skin, Pear skin, Peanut Butter and Mandarin and those are what we are using for the project and also we are having a competition to see who's plant will grow the tallest in the amount of time we have set witch is two to three weeks time. Before we started planting and getting the soil in our plant pots we followed a method that we had written down the previous week and that was Put on gloves, Get ice cream container, Get a scale, Place empty container on scale, Zero the scale with the cartin, Get soil from junior, Measure 40g of potatoes skin, Measure 400mls of soil in the ice cream container.Use your hands to stir and mix fertilizer and soil for 1 minute, Measure 200mls of soil and place into 1 pot, and another 200mls into another pot, Mark 3 cm from the tip of your finger, push your finger into the middle of the soil, Label pot with name of fertilizer, place 1 bean in pot, Cover the seed with soil, Water with 20 mls of water every monday tuesday and wait two weeks and see what happens. and now we are going to wait for the plants to start growing. I am also with my friends and their names are Jack, Alex, Nyjah, Mele, Victoria, Giovanni and we are all trying out the experiments.

Stardome

Last night we went on a trip to stardome and that was a really fun night they showed us into a room were the roof was a very big projector and they showed and told us a lot of this about the sun, space, constellation and also a few facts about Jupiter and Saturn. We first learnt about the stars and what type of stars their are like the different types of suns and the star constellation I learnt that the first star to show in the sky is actually a sun an it is just a bit bigger than our sun. There are multiple constellation such as scorpion, Maui's hook and sagittarius the archer they were the constellation that we were looking at when we were looking at the constellations and if you can't find sagittarius all you have to do is look for a teaspoon and a teapot. Afterwards we started talking about Jupiter and saturn the first thing we were learning about was the amount of moons that it had and there are 67 moon that is circling Jupiter. Then we learnt about Saturn and what happens every 14 years when the rings of Saturn would disappear  and reappear.

Information report

Emperor Penguin

Introduction
There are really cute flightless birds in the world. Do you know what they are? They are Penguins and their scientific name is Aptenodytes forsteri and that is The Emperor penguin. Did you know that the Emperor penguin is the largest penguin species in the world.

Appearance

The male Emperor penguin has a distinctive colouration to it. It has a snow white belly to blend into the environment and it’s back is as dark as night and it’s neck is a mix of yellow and white.

Diet

The Emperor penguin is a carnivore and it eats aquatic creatures { such as kril, small fish and even squid and any other small creatures they can catch in the ocean. On the other hand they do have predators of their own and they are Leopard seals, killer whales and Skuas. The Leopard seal and the killer whales hunt the adult emperor penguins while Skuas hunt for the eggs.

Habitat

The Emperor penguins live in antarctica and they are the only species of penguin that inhabit big lands of ice during the winter. They are usually found on the coast of antarctica when they are fishing or scouring for food.

Facts

Emperor penguins are a really interesting species of birds. They are the largest penguin species. They go in collines of a few hundred to thousands of Emperor penguins. The penguins in antarctica get around by doing something called tobogganing and if they want to get out of the water they roket out of the water and that is when they swim so fast in the water to the surface.

Summary
Emperor penguins are an interesting species of penguins and their cuteness is skyrocketing.

This week for writing we have been looking at making information reports about penguins. What we did was write the different features of a penguin and that was maliy it but before we wrote the information about the penguins on a DLO where we found information on the penguins to help us remember some facts that could be useful in our information writing. After we wrote our information writing we spoke to a critical friend to help us to make our writing better. During the writing we used a structure called TIPS and that stands for title, Introduction, paragraphs and summary to help with our report.

Space race

for one of the activities my friend and I made an animation about space because of my book my book was called the space race and that was about the U.S and the The Soviet union having a race to see how could be the first continent to get a satellite into orbit and the continent that won was Soviet union then they ended up sending a dog into space some are to believe that the dog died shortly after taking off.

Moon Illusion

Today I asked my friends if they wanted to play my kahoot about moon illusions and they said yes the questions were based off a book that I read for reading and all the books were about space and thing that liked to it. In my Kahoot there were questions that were about the moon and an illusion that messes with people's minds and it is to do with objects that are around the certain thing you are trying to look at. So the way that the illusion works is that when a big object is next to something smaller the smaller object seems to inlargened because of the surroundings of the object. For example if a car was driving straight at you you would know how big it was and you could tell if it was a toy car or a real car unlike in space where there is nothing to compare the size of the object to and your mind will get confused and will not be able to tell the difference to a toy car or a real car.

Reading response

This term for reading we have been reading books that were linked to space. We were reading books like The space race, Moon Illusion, Problem with pluto and return ticket please. We were writing responses about our books. Before we wrote our responses we wrote a comment about the person above us we would comment on their response and if they answer we would get into a dialogic conversation and when we would have a dialogic conversation we would give them feedback or feedforward and also ask a question and they would defend their opinion or response. Then we would get on to our reading response about our books and do the 6 tasks that were set for us for reading.

Scientific Experiments

Today we were doing scientific experiments about plants and we were learning about different things that will happen if if we used thing as fertilizers so there were Coffee grounds
Tea leaves, Soap Crushed candy, Salt, Mashed Potatoes, Pear skin, Baked beans and Pencil shavings they were the things we are using for our science experiment to see which test would work and make it grow the tallest out of all of them and we have 2 weeks to see how tall they grow. It was a very fun activity we really enjoyed the activity and the activities to come and I just want to say thank you to miss Wells

Tamaki College

Today we went to tech and also stayed there for a few hours and it was really fun my favorite activity was the science because we got play with dry ice we had a lot of experiments and we learnt thing we didn't know about dry ice like it is actually solid carbon dioxide. The experiments we did were making rubber glove balloons by using the dry ice, making rockets and making dry ice balloons. We also had maths and that was easy and fun we made an alien by using a thing called coordinates and then Jack and I went onto colouring and design our alien but then I miss coloured a place and started all over again. I just want to say thank you to all the teachers that made time to show us what it is like to be in a secondary school and I am really excited to go to college next year.

New Zealand Sign Language Week

last week we were learning about New Zealand sign language we learnt all types of stuff like how to finger spell and say some stuff with our hands all of us got used to it quite fast and were speaking to each others using it. It was a very fun activity and week and on the last day we learnt a lot more about sign language that we didn't know previously like you can walk through a conversation of two deaf people and they won't mind and they make really cool music videos.

Maths: Word Problem

For maths we were given a selection of problems to solve and choice one of them to turn into a D.L.O to show the problem the answer and the working out then we made a screencastify to explain the working out to our problems and I did the bread word problem and the thing I found interesting was using the technique rounding for the problem.

NZ WW1 Life On A Transport Ship

For this activity Nyjah, Victoria, Alex and I made a DLO explaining about the WW1
NZ Transport Ship. We had found out a lot of information about the inside of the
ship and how soldiers had to be cramped up in such a little space. It isn't as luxury
as most people thought. Instead, it is very cramped and there is a huge difference
between officers and enlisted soldiers. The officers had comfy beds, good food
whilst the unlisted soldiers slept on the floor or on some beds and didn't have the
same amount of good food.

Writing: Siri Group Challenge

Today, we have been given a challenge for writing by our teacher Mrs Anderson. Our challenge was to write in exactly 50 words, a response that Siri (An automated program on Apple devices) would give us if we asked it "Why Kokako Lodge is the greatest place to take year 7 and 8's on camp?" Although Mrs Anderson wanted to make this more of a challenge. So what we could do is gain points by using different Language features that would give us 5 points each. If every feature was used, then you could gain a total of 40 points. Although for another 5 points, you needed to make sure that everyone in your group was working together, and that a learning conversation was taking place. If you had exactly 50 words, and you used different references, you could even have 100 points total! Once you finished writing, you needed to digitally create a Siri conversation showing Siri's answer. The final step was to create a Screencastify that had us voicing over the whole conversation. For this activity, I worked with Jack, Alex, and Viliami. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed recording the most.

Blog Post Data Analysis

Today we were finishing off our maths we had a different thing to do from others and we were looking at all our comments from 2016 to 2019 I was really surprised to know that I had more blog post in 2018 then 2017 and it was also really cool to see that my highest amount of blog comments was in also in 2018 with 25 this was a very cool thing to do and it was also challenging.

Inquiry: DARE | Impact Message

This term, our focus for inquiry is DARE. It is a program that allows children to learn the dangers, and consequences of drug and alcohol use. Yesterday, Constable Cyrus came into our class to give us extra information about the use of them. We want to give a big thanks to Constable Cyrus for going out of his way to help us. This week, our challenge to alert others about these dangers was to create a DLO that showed what could potentially happen as a result of using drugs or alcohol. For this task, I worked with Alex and Jack, and we created a poster warning people about the dangers of drunk driving. On our DLO's we needed a strong message that would persuade people to think twice about driving drunk or using drugs. Our message was "Don't be like this guy, make a choice... Make the right choice..." We thought this was a strong message, and would work well.

Kiwi Can

Yesterday we went to Kiwi Can and I had a lot of fun the first thing we did was learn our new theme and topic our new theme is cooperation and the topic was communication then we went outside and played a game called A and B so in this game we go outside and we selected two people in our minds and we weren't allowed to tell the A or B person that they were our A or B. You also have to follow the A and stat as far away as you can from your B person. Then we went back inside a was talking about cooperation we were talking about what we need to have to have a good conversation with another person then we went back outside to play a game called Magic shoes this was a teamwork game so you have to choose a person to carry another person across than once two people go across the toxic lake and then they all need to get magic shoes but they have to be touching you and they can't be touching the ground.

Wildboy Brando Yelavich

Today we were making a DLO about a man who traveled the coastline of New Zealand he was a really brave man and now there is a book about him that showed how brave he was and the reason he did that. The reason he did the walk was because he wanted to do a very big fundraise and to find himself with this journey.

Plastic Corruption

Plastic is the kryptonite to our Superman the Earth. It is like the Joker to our
Batman what I am trying to say is that plastic is the worst thing that I know of and
thank the lord that we are trying to phase them out.

It is destroying the world and the sea creatures. There is one thing out of all the
plastic that is the worst and that is plastic bags the kill turtles because they are
mistaken for jellyfish and the kill reefs by sucking the food out of the witch is are
and blocks them from the fresh supply of air. They are kill thing left and right.
Since we were the ones who created plastic and plastic bags we are the ones to
blame while people are trying to rid the world and the sea of plastic there are still
some that are don’t give a cear in the world and just throw their rubbish anywhere.

Some people are trying to help like scientist there were some scientist that were
trying to clean up space and the ocean did you someone created a vacuum for
the sea so it floats around and then it sucks up some of the rubbish floating
around out at sea. I know there is a lot of rubbish in space because of use and
our bad habits this is the reason why a lot of or food suce is also wasted because
some fish can eat plastic and is can release toxins into the fish’s body and that
makes us not allowed to eat some population of the fish.

Because we are doing these things it makes it hard for the marine animals to
survive they salvage the sea for and mistaken the rubbish for food and before
they know it they are suffocating just because they thought they finally found
some food. We all need to start pulling our weight and help keep our world clean
with no rubbish floating out at sea or drifting away in space.

What I am talking about is just don’t throw your rubbish on the ground but throw it
in the bin so nothing is getting harmed and so our super man can get back to it full
strength and help the human rasic stay alive.
